The Ford Mustang is an icon of the automotive industry. It's one of the few that were able to survived the test of time. Since its introduction in 1964, Ford Mustang has maintained a cult following, and is continuously growing by the day.

For over four decades, the Mustang is the only car in Ford's line that has remain in uninterrupted production.

First Generation Mustang (1964-1973) - originally designed to be a two-seater car, the production version became a 2+2 model to widen public appeal as well as to avoid the low sales fate of the 2-seater Thunderbird. A 1964 Mustang appeared on the James Bond film Goldfinger.

Second Generation (1974-1978) - because of the 1973 OPEC oil embargo, oil inefficient cars decreased in sales. The Mustang is no exception. To give what the public demand, Ford decided to make new Mustangs slimmer, smaller and more fuel efficient. But this was not for long. Mustang fans wrote a petition to bring back the original look and size, and it was granted.

Third Generation (1979-1993) - completely re-styled in both interior and exterior sides. The 1979 Ford Mustang was based on the larger Fox platform, and wears a more comfortable interior.

Fourth Generation (1994-2004) - more powerful and more stylish, this Mustang generation underwent a major facelift and upgrades, including an upgrade of the rear-wheel Fox platform and the New Edge styling theme.

Fifth Generation (2005-present) - Ford introduced the fifth gen Mustang at the 2004 North American International Auto Show. A completely redesigned model, it has more muscle, more power and more stylish than any of the previous Mustang. Also, fifth gen Mustangs marked the use of organic materials such as the use of soybeans on the seating.
